Cuil என்ற ஒரு புதிய search engine உருவாகிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது. Googleன் முன்னாள் ஊழியர்கள் இணைந்து உருவாக்கி வரும் தளம் இது.
கூகிளின் ஆரம்ப காலத்தில், ஆர்பாட்டமில்லாமல், அதன் தரத்தின் ஒரே காரணத்தால் மட்டுமே பயனர்களின் கூட்டம் அதிகரித்து இன்று உயர்ந்த நிலையை அடைந்துள்ளது.
ஆனா, Cuil ஆரம்ப அடி எடுத்து வைக்கும்போதே, இரைச்சல் அதிகமாய் உள்ளது.

Cuilல் முதல் பக்கத்தில் வந்த 10 பதிவுகளில், ஒரே ஒரு பதிவுதான் சரியாய் இருந்தது, மத்ததெல்லாம் என்னன்னே தெரியல. -- நீங்களே பாருங்க.
ஆங்கில surveysanக்கே இந்த கொடுமைன்னா, தமிழ்ல தேடினா என்னாகும்னு பாத்தேன். சர்வேசன்னு அடிச்சா, 'please check your spelling'னு வருது.

cuil is still in its infancy.
கூகிளை விட மூன்று மடங்கு அதிக பக்கங்களை தேடலாம் என்ற அளப்பரை கொஞ்சம் இல்ல, ரொம்பவே பெரிய வாய்ச்சவடால்.
jazz festival sunnyvale இத தேடினா, ஒண்ணுமே காணும்னு சொல்லுது. என்ன கொடுமைங்க இது?
Yes, it's an overhyped release.
They announced that they have better technology than google, indexed more pages than google, but...:-))
But they have different idea about presenting the search results which is promising.

This is because Cuil isn't set up as a massively parallel search network the way, say, Google is. Tom Costello had explained this to me a bit when we talked last week. Each of Cuil's search appliances is specialized to a particular subcategory of results. There are machines that understand and index sports; others are experts on medicine, etc. As these search machines get overloaded, Sollitto said, they drop offline for some queries, and the machines left online return less-than-relevant results that then appear at the top of users' pages.

:) so,we have to use Google for some and Cuil for some depending on what we are looking for?
that doesnt sound like a successful recipe to me.
The overhype is going to irritate readers rather than incline them towards it.
a humble start would invite people to help them and grow them slowly.
